In the 2006 Singapore General Elections,

a) 748,130 citizens voted for the ruling party, out of a total of 1,123,273 votes cast - a majority of 66.6%.

b) 748,130 citizens voted for the ruling party, out of 2,158,599 eligible voters - a minority of 34.66%.

c) 748,130 citizens voted for the ruling party, out of a total population of 4,483,900 - a minority of 16.68%.

The ruling party currently controls 82 out of 84 seats in Parliament - a majority of 97.61%.
